As we head into the final stretch of summer, there are still lots of opportunities to devote some downtime to checking out new tunes. If you head to Exclaim!'s Recently Reviewed section, you'll find our writers' appraisals of the latest releases, from big-name projects to under-the-radar gems. Here are a few of the highlights.

Starting things off, Corb Lund used seclusion in a cabin outside of Edmonton to craft the tunes on his latest record with the Hurtin' Albertans, titled Cabin Fever. The result sees the genre-challenging country artist further honing his craft on an album with plenty to offer both rock and western fans.

In the world of electro releases, Teengirl Fantasy's Logan Takahashi and Nick Weiss return with their amped-up and Exclaim!-approved sophomore effort Tracer (pictured), while Toronto-based folk rock songstress Sarah Burton serves up a series of tracks with mixed influences on Fire Breathers.

And finally, prolific thrash outfit Master deliver The New Elite, their 11th studio album to date, while Xibalba's Hasta La Muerte doesn't pull any punches on its tracklist of propulsive hardcore, and multi-member project Dublin Death Patrol once again bring together some formidable talents, including Testament's Chuck Billy, on Death Sentence.
