October 2013 has proven a very prosperous month in the world of music. We've seen new releases from the likes of Pearl Jam, Paul McCartney and Pusha T, and this week we finish off the month with yet another handful of anticipated new albums. Have a look at the highlights in our New Release Roundup below, then head over to our Recently Reviewed section for more of the week's new album reviews.

First up, Arcade Fire have released their highly anticipated fourth album, Reflektor. The band do not disappoint on the immense double-album, which features some of their most imaginative work to date.

Under his Moonface moniker, musician Spencer Krug has released the excellent solo piano record Julia With Blue Jeans On, while Whitby, ON's prog-metal heroes Protest the Hero sound more confident than ever on fourth studio album Volition.

New York-based electronic musician Laurel Halo continues to sound wildly ambitious on her less vocals-focused LP, Chance of Rain, while Malaysian songstress and entrepreneur Yuna has produced perhaps one of the most honest sounding albums of 2013 with sophomore release Nocturnal.

Finally, Brazilian heavy metal vets Sepultura have released their lengthily titled 13th album, The Mediator Between Head and Hands Must Be the Heart. The band sound typically solid on the album, backed by new drummer Eloy Casagrande.
