Germaphobes

"Michael Ondaatje's World" (video)

Toronto-based hand sanitizer enthusiasts Germaphobes are set to unveil their debut video and prove their affinity for Canadian literature with a brand new clip for "Michael Ondaatje's World" — and Exclaim! has got your first look at it.

The video opens with bandmates Paul Erlichman and Neil Rankin visiting a psychic reader and asking about their futures as famous writers and world travellers, which amount to hacking away on a laptop in a coffee shop and a taxi ride to 7/11.

Questions about love, wealth and taming lions ensue and result in a lot of cat-petting — so, a pretty successful trip to the fortune teller, all in all. Well, until they ask "When will we die?"

Germaphobes will be playing a string of shows this summer, and you can see the upcoming dates listed below. This includes a Toronto show tonight (June 5). Scroll past those to find out how their final question gets answered in the  Cameron Michael Murray-directed video for "Michael Ondaatje's World,"
