Thursday, November 8
New Pornographers frontman A.C. Newman will be playing the Biltmore Cabaret as part of Exclaim!'s 20th Anniversary Concert Series. He is currently on tour promoting his autobiographical solo album, titled Shut Down the Streets.

Friday, November 9
Juno winner Dan Mangan will melt your heart with his folky tunes at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre on Friday. Joining him is the Rural Alberta Advantage, who will surely get you into a clapping and foot-stomping frenzy.

East Coast folkie Rose Cousins ran one successful Kickstarter campaign, raising over $25,000. She brings her latest album, We Have Made A Spark, to Ironwood Stage & Grill on Friday.

Kid Koala comes to the Republik this Saturday. Expected at the show are puppets, dancing robots, dancing girls and gigantic cardboard turntables in support of his latest release, the eccentric 12 Bit Blues.

Thursday, November 8
Gallows recently released their first album with Alexisonfire guitarist Wade MacNeil on lead vocals. They'll be playing at Lee's Palace on Thursday, and we'll have a chance to judge if MacNeil is living up to the hype surrounding his new band. As an added bonus, killer openers Barn Burner and Titan will be on hand.

Friday, November 9
Friday at the Great Hall is the first instalment of Fucked Up's Long Winter series. The series will comprise one night every month of interactive music, installations, visual art, readings, food and dance to help Toronto through the cold weather. The night is also part of Exclaim!'s 20th Anniversary Concert Series. The lineup includes the hosts Fucked Up, much talked-about electro-pop trio Diana and many more.

Earlier this year, the Darcys released a reworked version of the Steely Dan album Aja. Watch them bring their ambient and atmospheric interpretation of the record to life at the Horseshoe Tavern on Saturday, where the show promises to be a carefully curated multimedia experience.
