Fucked Up Reveal 'Year of the Tiger' 12-inch

BY Josiah HughesPublished Dec 6, 2011

Toronto punk masters Fucked Up had a banner year in 2011, turning heads and eventually clinching our top punk album of the year with their epic rock opera David Comes to Life. Rather than take it easy now, however, they've already announced their next release.

As part of their ongoing Chinese calendar series, Fucked Up have revealed their Year of the Tiger twelve-inch. Described as "an epic masterpiece" in a press release, the record is set to feature guest spots from director Jim Jarmusch, along with Annie-Claude Deschenes and Austra.

On Fucked Up's blog, the band write that they wrote most of the record before David Comes to Life, going on to call the upcoming release "honestly one of the best things we've ever done."

Year of the Tiger will be available on February 7. The record can be pre-ordered here.
