After teasing the arrival of collab album Bandana, Freddie Gibbs and Madlib have returned with a new single.
Titled "Flat Tummy Tea," the song first finds Gibbs rattling off bars over Madlib's psych-rock sample chops before a beat switch takes him somewhere more mellow for the track's back half. You can hear it in the player below.
Gibbs teased the single's arrival yesterday (February 19) with a humorous bit of #influencer marketing on social media, posing with a box of the titular drink writing, "Starting 2019 with #FlatTummyTea by my side. I'm bloat free, bitch."
The song is available to pre-order as a 12-inch vinyl record here, which will also include Bandana's Assassin-assisted title track, instrumentals for both songs and a pair of additional beats from Madlib.
Gibbs and Madlib last released their collaborative Piñata LP in 2014. Early this month, Madlib revealed the the pair were in the process of clearing samples for Bandana.
Last year, Gibbs delivered solo effort Freddie.
