They released their first song in seven years this week

Shortly after releasing their buzzy sophomore self-titled album in 2018, Forth Wanderers went on hiatus. They cancelled a tour due to vocalist Ava Trilling's panic disorder, and while she spoke out about it in a Vice article, the band hadn't really been heard from since.

That is until this week, when they released "To Know Me/To Love Me," their first song in seven years, as a surprise. Today, they've revealed that wasn't just a one-off, as their new album The Longer This Goes On is out July 18 via Sub Pop.

As per Stereogum, Trilling and guitarist Ben Guterl met up in 2021 and agreed to start making music again, as Trilling felt less pressure with time away from the project. The band are going with the flow — they might never tour again, and they might disappear after this album.

On top of the big news, Forth Wanderers have shared a second track from the album today, called "7 Months." Both new tracks are excellent — listen to them both, and check out the album's tracklist below.

The Longer This Goes On:

1. To Know Me/To Love Me
2. Call You Back
3. Honey
4. 7 Months
5. Spit
6. Springboard
7. Make Me
8. Barnard
9. Bluff
10. Don't Go Looking
