If you've been wondering what Smashing Pumpkins' old guitar man James Iha has been up to these days, it appears he's been busy forming his own little supergroup. Called Tinted Windows, the band boast Cheap Trick drummer Bun E. Carlos, Fountains of Wayne bassist Adam Schlesinger and, er, "MMMBopper" Taylor Hanson of Hanson.
According to Billboard, the Iha-led group have already recorded their debut album at Stratosphere Sound Studios in New York and will release the record this summer. The band will also play their first major show this spring at South by Southwest.
At this point, there are few other details about Tinted Windows, meaning we don't yet know the album's title, which label will release it or if the band plan to embark on any sort of widespread tour. The group do, however, have a very sparse MySpace page, which simply says "Tinted Windows coming soon."
