Forest of Tygers

"Tigerstripe"

Nashville's Forest of Tygers are set to crush, kill and destroy listeners with the upcoming release of their debut EP Bruises, but before the whole thing drops April 29 through Primitive Violence, the hardcore duo are mauling us ahead of time with a stream of the set's "Tigerstripe."

Husband and wife combo Jim and Rachel Valosik's virulent preview starts off with samples of morse code and some gravely-delivered co-ordinates, up until the track wildly charts off into a number of directions. Throughout the track, deep, chugging metal licks and the far-off cries of Jim Valosik give way to black metal scissor beats, proggy six-string noodling, a brief melodic reprieve and a finale of cymbal crashes and death cries.

You can sample the jarring journey down below.
