Foo Fighters Release Free Surprise EP

BY Alex HudsonPublished Nov 23, 2015

Foo Fighters had been counting down to a mysterious announcement on their website, and now the clock has run out and the surprise has been unveiled: the band have released a new EP.

The short collection is called Saint Cecilia and it's absolutely free. The five tracks can be downloaded without charge from the band's website.

The EP is named after the Hotel Saint Cecilia in Austin, TX, which is where it was recorded. The Foos had previously announced that they had recorded some new material in Austin, and they noted that Ben Kweller had participated in the sessions.

While the download of Saint Cecilia is free, those who are willing to fork out some money can pre-order a copy of the EP on vinyl. The projected shipping date for records is February 2016. It's also available in bundle with a T-shirt and a keychain. Check out the options at the Foos' online store.

The EP can be downloaded here.
