Foo Fighters, JAY-Z, Tina Turner Inducted into Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Other inductees include Kraftwerk, Gil Scott-Heron and LL Cool J

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame recently announced its list of nominees for potential induction in 2021, and now it's followed through and made a decision on who to officially induct.

The new additions to the hall in the performer category include the Foo FightersJAY-Zthe Go-Go'sTodd Rundgren, Carole King and Tina Turner.

The Musical Excellence Award was handed to LL Cool J, Billy Preston and Randy Rhoads while the Early Influence Award was given to Kraftwerk, Gil Scott-Heron and Charley Patten. Music exec Clarence Avant is, meanwhile, got this year's Ahmet Ertegun Award.

Nominated artists who didn't make it this year include Rage Against the Machine, Mary J. Blige, Kate Bush, Devo, Iron Maiden, Chaka Khan, Fela Kuti, New York Dolls and Dionne Warwick.

The Rock Hall 2021 ceremony will take place on October 30 in Cleveland, with an HBO and HBO Max special set to air later on.
