Foo Fighters 'Rock and Roll' (Led Zeppelin cover) (live video)
Lots of people have covered Led Zeppelin, but far fewer have done so with the members of the classic rock group — plus a host of celebrities and the U.S. president — sitting in the audience. That's exactly what Foo Fighters did when they performed at the 2012 ceremony for the Kennedy Center Honors.

The event, which took place on December 2 at the Kennedy Center Opera House in Washington, DC, didn't feature a performance from Led Zeppelin. Instead, Foo Fighters covered "Rock and Roll," and switched up their usual lineup by putting Dave Grohl behind the drum kit while Taylor Hawkins sang lead and did a pretty good job of recreating Robert Plant's iconic wail.

The performance is below. Perhaps the most exciting parts come when the camera cuts away from the stage and we see onlookers like Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, Barack Obama, David Letterman, Ray Romano and others.
