Flume Revives Eiffel 65's "Blue" for 2020 Because Nothing Matters Anymore

"Roses r red my face is blue here is a song I made it for u"

Flume has taken on one of the most viral dance hits from the '90s, Eiffel 65's "Blue," for a new isolation-mania-induced remix.

While the track has yet to see an official release, the artist born Harley Edward Streten has shared a teaser video that shows him posing as one of the blue aliens from the infamous 1998 CGI video — which we can all agree, still slaps.

"Roses r red my face is blue here is a song I made it for u," the producer wrote of the track in a post.

Because nothing matters in a post-coronavirus society, Streten's remix (and accompanying poem) is the perfect fit for the global nihilistic mood of 2020.

Flume's latest record was his 2019 mixtape, Hi This Is Flume. Previously, he released his sophomore studio album, Skin, back in 2016. The producer has been working hard on his follow-up and plans to release it in the coming months, according to an interview on My Friend Podcast, hosted by his girlfriend, Paige Elkington.
