Christine McVie rejoined Lindsey Buckingham and the rest of her Fleetwood Mac bandmates in 2014 after choosing to forego touring back in 1998. Now, the two have revealed that they're at work on an album of duets.

The Los Angeles Times reports that the collaborative record is tentatively titled Buckingham McVie and is slotted for release this May. The Times also reports that bandmates Mick Fleetwood and John McVie are involved with the project despite not having plans to release it as Fleetwood Mac.

Of the record, Christine McVie told the Times that "a better thing's never happened to me. I've reconnected with the band and found a fantastic person to write with," adding that "we've always written well together, Lindsey and I, and this has just spiraled into something really amazing that we've done between us."

McVie's last solo record, In the Meantime, arrived in 2004.

Thanks to Pitchfork for the heads up.
