The Flaming Lips

"I Found This Star on the Ground" (six-hour song)

BY Brock ThiessenPublished Sep 21, 2011

If you were still doubting the existence of the Flaming Lips' six-hour song, here's your proof: a stream of the entire track.

As Pitchfork points out, Wayne Coyne delivered the epic, dubbed "I Found This Star on the Ground," to Portland's Jackpot Records, which will reportedly be the exclusive retailer for the release. As an added bonus, the release comes with a toy called the Strobo Trip, which Coyne talked all about in this recent interview.

But if you can't make to Portland to get a physical copy, or if you're just curious about the track, you can stream the entire release below in three parts, courtesy of Flaming Lips message board Slow Nerve Action

UPDATE: The release also contains two much shorter songs, "Butterfly, How Long Does It Take to Die" and "Evil Minds," both of which can also be streamed below.
