There are some out there who aren't too terribly excited about the prospect of a new Black Flag LP, and for them, we give you FLAG, the "greatest hits"-minded project of ex-members currently making the rounds. If you haven't seen the crack team of hardcore vets rip it up just yet, you may want to peep a newly released concert mini-film shot in New York last September.
Filmed at Irving Plaza, the video captures the lineup of ex-Black Flag members Keith Morris (vocals), Dez Cadena (guitar/vocals), Chuck Dukowski (bass) and Descendents riff-slinger Stephen Egerton running through early punk classics like "Jealous Again" and "Wasted." While the dreadlocked Morris mans the mic for most of the video, Cadena shouts his way through the society-analzying "American Waste," which he notes was named after a dumpster.
