Base31 is turning Picton into a hub for music all summer long, attracting artists and music lovers alike to Prince Edward County.

The concert series at the Drill Hall RBC Stage will host a steady string of artists from late June into early October, while two music festivals — Pretty Excellent Country Music Festival (August 15 to 16) and Rock the Country (August 22 to 23), both presented by RBC — will concentrate music into can't-miss weekends.

Find tickets over at Base31's website. Below, see our picks for the must-see acts of Base31's summer programming.

Big Wreck
Get ready to Rock the Country at Base31's two-day festival. Along with I Mother Earth, '90s rock vets Big Wreck perform — another highlight in a huge year that has already seen the band act as Record Store Day Canada's official ambassadors and release a reissue of 2012's Albatross.

The Sheepdogs
It wouldn't be a Canadian summer without a Sheepdogs set, and the Saskatoon-formed quintet — fresh off their Paradise Alone/Hell Together EPs — are slated to take fans for a ride on July 19 at Drill Hall RBC Stage.

Charlotte Cardin
Montreal songwriter Charlotte Cardin is a full-blown pop star, having caught fire with her 2021 album Phoenix, which topped the charts here in Canada and won big at the JUNO Awards and Felix Awards. Catch her dramatic pop theatrics at the Drill Hall RBC Stage.

Elliott BROOD
Toronto trio Elliott BROOD have been making barnburning alt-country for over two decades, and they're showing no signs of slowing down, having conquered both Town and Country across their 2023 and 2024 albums. They'll lead Base31's Pretty Excellent Country Music Festival alongside fellow headliner Dean Brody.

Stars
When there's nothing left to burn, you have to go see Stars at the Drill Hall RBC Stage. The group, who have been touring the 20th anniversary of their album Set Yourself on Fire, will be joined on the bill by up-and-comer Ruby Waters.
