Word has it that brother-and-sister prog pop team the Fiery Furnaces will finally be issuing their seventh album, following last year's live record Remember. The album, called I'm Going Away, will be released on July 21 by Thrill Jockey.

Certainly not going away themselves, the band have a plethora of projects on the go. Besides the new album, they're working on another record called Stories From the Old Testament by Fiery Furnaces, a "silent record," which will be released in book form, and an album/genre called "democrock," which will see the band writing songs based on notes their fans throw on stage during live shows. A long, in-depth description of "demrocacy" can be found here.
