Father John Misty Takes 'Pure Comedy' on Tour, Unveils Canadian Shows

BY Brock ThiessenPublished Feb 28, 2017

With Pure Comedy edging ever closer, it makes total sense that Father John Misty would be taking it out on a roadshow. So that's exactly what he's about to do.

The folky songwriter has announced a series of world tour dates in support of the upcoming new album. These include a pair of Toronto shows on May 5 and 6 at the Royal Alexandra Theatre, as well as a stop at Burnaby's Deer Lake Park (just outside Vancouver) on May 26 and Montreal's Osheaga festival in August.

There are also several U.S. dates, as well as appearances in Mexico, Japan and the UK. Several of these are biggie festival stops.

You can see the freshly revealed tour schedule below.

Father John Misty will also be the musical guest (with host Octavia Spencer) on Saturday Night Live this weekend on March 4.

Pure Comedy is due out on April 7 through Sub Pop.
