Father John Misty Adds "Variety Show" Dates to North American Tour, Plays Vancouver

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jun 26, 2013

Folk-pop troubadour Father John Misty (a.k.a. Joshua Tillman) has announced yet another leg of tour dates behind his 2012 debut Fear Fun, though it appears as if his upcoming fall trip will also come packaged with some laughs.

The newly unveiled dates are being promoted as a variety show trip, which will pair his tunes with an opening set from Brooklyn-based comedian Kate Berlant. If you've ever seen a Father John Misty show, or caught his between-song banter during Fleet Foxes performances, you'll know Tillman can deliver the onstage zingers too, so the tour could prove to be a gut-buster.

The bulk of the dates take place beneath the U.S./Canada border, but there is an up-north appearance scheduled for Vancouver's Commodore Ballroom on October 8.

As previously reported, Father John Misty is also hitting up Canadian markets in Quebec City, Toronto and Montreal. You can see all of his upcoming dates down below.

In other news, the singer-songwriter's "Innocence" perfume, which he worked on with Sanae Barber of SANAE Intoxicants perfume lab, is expected to hit stores in August. You can pre-order a bottle over here.
