Father John Misty

"I Love You, Honeybear" (video)

Father John Misty (real name Josh Tillman) is still riding the massive wave of momentum behind his latest LP I Love You, Honeybear, and to keep it going, the title track has now received the video treatment.

The clip was directed by Tillman and his previous video-making collaborator Grant James, and he describes it as "a portrayal of an average night in the lives of two EMTs."

Apparently that entails downing a bottle of whisky and getting frisky in the back of an ambulance. After ingesting a few too many painkillers, they also discover just how amusing rolls of gauze bandaging can be. Things get a bit too real, though, when they get radioed over to a fancy mansion where Tillman and his wife are lying comatose in bed.

You can imagine how things turn out, but you can see it for yourself by watching the video for "I Love You, Honeybear" in the player below. The album of the same name is out now via Sub Pop.
