Vancouver folk rockers Factories & Alleyways have had a successful year in which they released their debut album, Canadiana, and now they're capping off their 2013 campaign with a holiday single, dubbed A Factories & Alleyways Christmas.
The two-song mini-collection kicks off with the soft, harmony-rich original "It's Christmas Time Again," which fleshes out its acoustic folk instrumentation with tinkling glockenspiel and lush-sounding piano. The song includes a lyrical reference to Bruce Springsteen's version of "Merry Christmas Baby," so it's only fitting that the band cover that upbeat song as the single's second track.
