Exclaim!'s April Issue Hits the Streets with Poirier, Dillinger Escape Plan, Sharon Jones, Japandroids, and Much More

BY Carly LewisPublished Apr 9, 2010

April showers have brought us yet another new issue of Exclaim!, which is now making its way across the country. But along with our print edition, you can also find the new issue's full contents online here.

As always, the issue is pack full of features, with Juno-nominated, Caribbean-influenced Poirier leading the way with this month's cover story. Although he's been labelled just about everything from ambient to hip-hop to even dub-techno, Poirier is anything but definable.

Also inside the issue, you'll find our monthly Questionnaire, filled out this time around by former Hole bassist Melissa Auf der Maur, whose sophomore solo album Out of Our Minds has just been released. Then, in our Timeline section, we take you down the long and winding road that is Jawbreaker's musical history.

In our Points section, you can read articles on Sally Seltmann, Dillinger Escape Plan, Dum Dum Girls, Old Man Luedecke, Sharon Jones and Titus Andronicus.

We also talk to Christine Duncan and the Element Choir in Music School, and even get to spend some time with Japandroids.

And we have web exclusive Conversations with the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, John K. Samson of the Weakerthans and Raekwon, as well as many more.

Of course, our April issue comes packed with our latest reviews in music, film and videogames. So for a full list of what's new in the new issue, head to our April contents page.
