Legendary Japanese post-hardcore outfit Envy are probably the only band in the world who can logically release albums on both Level-Plane and their current home of Temporary Residence. Their sound, an amalgamation of emotive, off-kilter hardcore and sprawling post-rock akin to Explosions in the Sky, has granted them world-wide notoriety in their 20 years as a band. This fall, they'll return with their fifth album.
The record is called Recitation and features 12 brand new tracks. Among them is "Dreams Coming To An End," a typically heavy, stirring track that can be downloaded here.
Temporary Residence will release Recitation on October 12, with a pre-order starting on September 1. Along with the new album, Envy will be returning to North America for an autumn tour. They will be supported by Touche Amore on all dates, and Trash Talk will also join them for the majority of the tour, including a Toronto stop on October 2.
