Enslavement of Beauty Megalomania

Fans of gloomy metal, gothic and classical music are advised to check out Enslavement of Beauty. The 14 songs on this album create an atmosphere of dramatic power and sombre melancholy. The music is more upbeat than most bands that spend their time being depressed, and EoB actually keeps things fairly upbeat for most of the disc. Although it gets fairly tedious, there are some foot-tapping melodies and nice song writing skills to keep the listener interested, and, at times, a light black metal sound prevails. It's a long and fairly challenging listen but without the rewards of a My Dying Bride or Anathema album, so this one is for gloom-heads only. (Voices Of Wonder)
