The Elwins

"Conan, Conan" (video)

BY Alex HudsonPublished Apr 2, 2013

Toronto indie pop charmers the Elwins won us over with their 2012 debut album, And I Thank You, and they're looking to keep the momentum going with a jokey tribute to Conan O'Brien.

The aptly named "Conan, Conan" is folk-pop song that illuminates some biographical information about the beloved late-night talk-show host. The accompanying video shows the band goofing off in front of a green screen, posing in front of a mirror with a faux pompadour, and messily making out with a cake with Conan's face on it.

In other Elwins news, they have released a 7-inch single for their And I Thank You track "Forgetful Assistance." It comes backed with a cover of Beyoncé's "Countdown" featuring Born Ruffians frontman Luke Lalonde. It's available through We Are Busy Bodies.

The Elwins will be touring the UK this spring to celebrate the reissue of And I Thank You through Germany's Affairs of the Heart. See the schedule below.
