Elton John is currently making his way around the world on his "Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour," but he found time in his busy itinerary to do a bit of record shopping in Toronto earlier today.
The "Rocket Man" singer dropped into Sonic Boom around 1 p.m. this afternoon to peruse the local selection, and ended up purchasing a record by the 6 God himself.
According to one of the Sonic Boom employees that served him, Sir Elton picked up a copy of Drake and Future's What a Time to Be Alive on wax.
They also told Exclaim! that John was "very sweet," "really funny" and surprisingly "totally normal."
It's been a busy summer at the Spadina Ave. store in terms of special guests, with the likes of Billy Corgan, Nile Rodgers and Finn Wolfhard dropping by — but the staff maintain that John was definitely the biggest (or at least the most knightly) star to become a customer in recent memory.

Sonic Boom isn't the only Canadian record store John is a patron of, though. Last year he went digging through the bins at Vancouver's Beat Street Records.
His love of hip-hop was recently immortalized in recorded form, as well. Last month, he released the long-awaited "Rocket Man" remix featuring Young Thug.
