Ed Sheeran has shattered the record for the highest global tour revenue by an artist in a single year. He topped the list of highest grossing 2018 tours with a whopping $432.4 million USD and a total of 4,860,482 tickets sold.

Pollstar revealed its list of highest grossing 2018 tours today, and following up Sheeran is his former tourmate Taylor Swift. Her "Reputation Stadium Tour" raked in an impressive $351.1 million USD.

JAY-Z and Beyoncé, P!nk, Bruno Mars, the Eagles, Justin Timberlake, Roger Waters, U2 and the Rolling Stones rounded out the Top 10.

The Top 10 touring artists combined grossed more than $2 billion USD, setting a new record and besting 2017's collective Top 10 gross of $1.8 billion USD.

It's worth noting that Sheeran managed to make the most, despite having the lowest average ticket price of any artist in the Top 10. The average ticket price for Sheeran's show was $88.96, while Eagles fans were shelling out an average of $172.13 to see the band live.

Bruce Springsteen technically didn't have to leave the venue for his "Springsteen on Broadway" shows, but he still landed in 13th place globally for the year. Average ticket prices to that show soared to $508.93. If you didn't get your hands on a ticket, you can always check out the show on Netflix.
