Ed Sheeran and Prince Harry Team Up for World Mental Health Day Video

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Oct 10, 2019

Britain's two most famous gingers, Ed Sheeran and Prince Harry, have joined forces to acknowledge World Mental Health Day.

The event falls today, and as the name implies, the day is one for raising awareness for mental health.

To mark the occasion, Sheeran and Harry have released a video that sees them sitting at a table, collaborating on what they think is a mutual goal — until it's revealed that Sheeran thought they were getting together to pen a song and lead a movement tentatively titled "Gingers Unite!"

In all seriousness, Sheeran and the prince have shared the video with a message about reaching out for help if you're experiencing mental health issues and reaching out to others who may be suffering.

Myself and Prince Harry, want to ensure that not just today but every day, you look after yourself, your friends and those around you. There's no need to suffer in silence - share how you're feeling, ask how someone is doing and listen for the answer, be willing to ask for help when you need it, and know that we are all in this together Check out the accounts below for more resources and support - @Heads_Together @Calmzone @MentalHealthFoundation @CharityNoPanic @SamaritansCharity @YoungMindsUK @GiveUsAShoutInsta @Childline_official @LetsTalkAboutMentalHealth @Jedfoundation @Pandas_UK @Charitysane @MindCharity @TimeToChangeCampaign @RethinkMentalIllness @MentalHealthMates @ActionHappiness @MHFAEngland @DitchTheLabel @TheBlurtFoundation
