The Dutchess and the Duke, Peter Walker Getting 'Live at Third Man Records' LPs

Third Man Records' series of in-house live albums keeps on growing, and now Jack White's label has announced two more Live at Third Man Records LPs. These ones come from Peter Walker and the Dutchess and the Duke, respectively.

Both records will be out on June 9, and they were each recorded in the Blue Room at Third Man's Nashville facility.

From the sound of things, the Walker performance was a unique one, since an announcement explains that the veteran folk guitarist "performed a handful of songs on piano, something he's never done before or since."

As for the the Dutchess and the Duke, their performance was captured using Third Man's direct-to-acetate method. This was part of a reunion run after the folk band took a few years off, and the label calls the music "equal parts beautiful boy/girl harmonies, subdued finger-picked acoustic guitar pairings and minimal percussive accoutrements."

The tracklists for both LPs are below, and short audio snippets from the albums are embedded at the bottom of the page. The vinyl is available to pre-order from Third Man's online store.

Meanwhile, more Live at Third Man Records albums will arrive before long. The "upcoming releases" section of Third Man's homepage lists a concert LP from rap explorers Shabazz Palaces (something we already knew was coming).
