Duran Duran Team Up with Mark Ronson, Nile Rodgers and John Frusciante for New Album

Earlier this year, long-running dance pop legends Duran Duran turned heads with the perception that they were suing their own fan club (it was later revealed that they were actually suing a former owner of the club to retain its rights). Thankfully, their fans will soon be treated to something more than drama, as the group have started work on their next LP.

The band posted some photos to their website, revealing that their forthcoming new LP, and 14th full-length overall, will feature production work from both Mark Ronson and Nile Rodgers.

Though both big names in their own right, the producers are no strangers to work with Duran Duran. Ronson was responsible for work on the band's 2010 effort All You Need is Now, while Rodgers worked with them decades earlier, producing their Notorious LP in 1986 among other projects.

Earlier this year, the band also announced that former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist and renowned solo artist John Frusciante would also be contributing to the LP. "The tracks have been going back and forth via the internet, and we are thrilled with the results," the band wrote. "We are all such big fans of John's work and are honoured to have him adding his magic to the record! There are no current plans for John to tour with us, but his guitars sound incredible on the tracks."

Duran Duran's next album is tentatively slated for release in the spring of 2015. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
