Drake's "Hotline Bling" Inspires Dad Dancing from Tom Mulcair

Heartbroken Canadian hedonist Drake won over hip-hop fans years ago, but his fame has become so widespread in 2015 that he's begun attracting attention from elderly politicians. Toronto city councillor Norm Kelly stuck up for Drizzy during his feud with Meek Mill, and now NDP leader Tom Mulcair has jumped on the bandwagon by imitating Drake's dancing from the "Hotline Bling" video.

Although Mulcair may not have been particularly successful in his recent campaign to become prime minister, he's evidently now dancing his troubles away. CBC comedy show This Hour Has 22 Minutes tweeted a brief clip of Mulcair imitating Drake's bendy-kneed shimmy amidst a colourful CGI landscape: The next episode of 22 Minutes airs tonight (November 3) at 8:30 p.m., and a Facebook update confirms that it will feature Mulcair's extended "Hotline Bling" dance.

Along the same lines, U.S. presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders was featured in a goofy segment on Ellen in which he appeared in a recreation of the "Hotline Bling" video. It appears that Sanders didn't actually do the dance himself, but rather had his face digitally pasted onto another older gentleman's body. In any case, it's a funny stunt, even though the 74-year-old politician presumably had nothing to do with it:

As far as dad-tastic "Hotline Bling" dances go, first prize definitely goes to this high school math teacher, who a student filmed and uploaded to YouTube. From his clothing to his butt-wiggling boogie, this dude seriously owns these dances: To revisit the source of the memes, watch Drake's "Hotline Bling" dance below.
