Drake's Got Chain Mail at Casa Loma in Future's "Wait for U" Music Video

The 6ix God also dons a pelt while he roams the Toronto castle

The tale of the toxic king truly is as old as time itself: Future, Drake and Tems go fully medieval in the new Director X-helmed video for "Wait for U," filmed on location at Toronto's historic Casa Loma.

Forget "Knife Talk," he's all about swords now. Ever the hometown boy, Drake brought his friends from the Middle Ages to the city's iconic midtown landmark, where they shot scenes in the gardens, the Great Hall and Sir Henry Pellatt's Bedroom, according to an Instagram post from the historical attraction.

As aforementioned, the video illustrates a story told for centuries: a toxic king must go off to war, thereby leaving behind his queen and his royalty loyalty. Decked out in his suit of armour and pelt, Drake rolls up on a horse and proceeds to get into a sword fight — no, literally — over a fair maiden ahead of delivering a very important message to the monarch.

"Wait for U" is the latest single from Future's recent release, I NEVER LIKED YOU. The rapper was just announced as a headliner for Rolling Loud's inaugural Toronto edition.

Knight's quests, bringing high-speed internet to Pickering, ON, and crusading to save both TimBiebs and Randy's Patties? Say what you will, but Drake really is leaning into this whole Renaissance man thing.
