Though it's not the first time it's happened to the rapper, Drake is once again the subject of a lawsuit over sample issues. This time, it's for a sample on his 2013 album Nothing Was the Same.

On the Jay Z-assisted track "Pound Cake/Paris Morton Music 2," Drizzy utilized some spoken word dialogue from Jimmy Smith's "Jimmy Smith Rap."

The album's liner notes suggest that the song was legally licensed, but TMZ reports that Smith's estate has come forward with claims that they were never asked for permission.

Smith's estate brought forward a lawsuit where they're suing Drake, Cash Money and other involved parties for a total that exceeds $300,000.

As you can hear below, Jimmy Smith's spoken audio plays a pretty prominent role in Drake's album track.
