Drake Gets His Own Sitcom

In case you were unaware, Toronto, ON rapper Drake is hot right now. The MC has buddied up with rap industry bigwigs Lil Wayne and Kanye West on the strength of his killer mixtapes, and now he's been given a sitcom.

The show, called Us and Them, is being developed by Toronto production house the Nightingale Company and, according to a press release, will be "about best buddies - and polar opposites - trying to make their way in the entertainment industry." Of course, this won't be the first foray into television for Drake (real name Aubrey Graham). The rapper got his start on CTV's Degrassi: The Next Generation.

However, hopefully this new TV stint won't get in the way of his anticipated debut, Thank Me Later, which is coming out on Lil Wayne's Young Money imprint.

As we told you, Drake is also supporting Lil Wayne on his current North American tour.
