Drake

"Where Were You" (ft. Dawn Richard)

After spending the last few months popping up on other people's tracks, divisive Toronto rapper Drake has popped up with a brand new solo track called "Where Were You."

Teaming up with former Diddy Dirty Money songstress Dawn Richard, the track is built on expensive-sounding synths, clicking beats and a weird, mid-paced tempo. You're either going to love it or hate it.

Either way, check out "Where Were You" below courtesy of Hip Hop Wired. No word yet on where this track will be appearing.

UPDATE: Colin Munroe's team has been in touch to explain a bit about the song's history, explaining, "The track is actually Colin Munroe's "Whatever Became of You" from his Unsung Hero mixtape with new verses by Drake and Dawn Richard — it features Colin's original hook and was produced by Colin and Boi1da. Unfortunately, the track has been making its way around the net as Dawn and Drake's collab "Where Were You."
