UK rap sensation Central Cee took over Toronto's History this past weekend as part of his first world tour, and was possibly contractually obligated to include a Drake pop-up in his set the first night (May 24). Well, it's not inconceivable that the British rapper would be into it, since the pair did a On the Radar Radio freestyle together in 2023 — but, as we know, a lot has transpired between then and now.

Whatever the motivations, Drake did indeed appear on stage at Central Cee's concert, and came bearing news: OVO Fest is about to be so back.

"I'll see you this summer, by the way," fan-shot footage shows the Torontonian saying of his signature event, which has been on hiatus for the last three years. "OVO Fest back this year."

Drizzy added to Cench, "We'll need you there for that," insinuating that the Brit will potentially be part of the lineup.

Back in 2022, Drake similarly announced OVO Fest's return by taking the stage during UK rapper Dave's History performance to share the news of what would become October World Weekend, which featured an all-Canadian North Stars lineup including k-os, Keshia Chanté, Kardinal Offishall, Jully Black, Shawn Desman and many more.
