Just as Drake was aiming to shift the Toronto curse's blame from him onto Justin Bieber for the Toronto Maple Leafs' loss last night, he's now trying to absolve Tory Lanez of the reasons for his imprisonment after the Brampton rapper was stabbed by a fellow inmate of Tehachapi, CA's California Correctional Institution last week.
As reported by the San Francisco Chronicle, Drake was once again causing chaos on his Instagram Stories this weekend, posting a link to a Change.org petition that calls for California Governor Gavin Newsom to pardon Lanez in the wake of his injuries, due to what the organizers describe as "deeply contested circumstances" surrounding his legal case with Megan Thee Stallion. Lanez is currently serving a 10-year sentence after shooting Megan in the foot back in 2020.
Drake shared a link to the cause alongside the caption "Come home soon." The rapper has previously stood by his fellow Canadian, again via his Instagram stories.
Last week, Lanez's family relayed via his Instagram account that he was stabbed 14 times and suffered two collapsed lungs.
