DJ Signify gets his fingers dusty digging in his crates and pulls out some seriously tasty breaks that lean on the jazzy mellow side, but isn’t afraid to branch out. Mixed Messages works because of DJ Signify’s knack for arranging his records, he lays off on vinyl trickery and lets the grooves flow, orchestrating a measured pacing to the proceedings. Replete with the smart use of vocal samples and a good sense of when it’s time to move on, DJ Signify’s brand of streaming obscure sources into digestible form makes it hard for even the restless listener to get bored.
