DJ Muggs Teases New MF Doom Collaboration and Cypress Hill's New Album

While MF Doom was recently struck with tragedy, the masked MC is looking to the future with a new musical project. As is often the case with the rapper these days, it will apparently be a new joint project involving Cypress Hill's DJ Muggs.

On Wednesday (December 27), Muggs took to his Instagram to share a cryptic image of himself and MF Doom (or DOOM when he feels like it). It simply came with the caption, "2018 #soulassassins #djmuggs #bnardartwork."

The Soul Assassins collective was formed by Muggs in 1992 and has involved the likes of Dilated Peoples, Prophets of Rage, La Coka Nostra, GZA and the Alchemist. That hashtag "#bnardartwork" points to illustrator Bernard Rollins, who also did the art for WestsideDOOM.

So far, though, that's all we have to go on regarding the project, but you can see Muggs' post below.

What's more, Muggs also teased a new Cypress Hill album. According to another Insta post the new album is now finished and slated for a 2018 release. As the group previously revealed, it is titled Elephants on Acid.

The album would mark Cypress Hill's first LP in nearly a decade, with their last full-length being 2010's Rise Up.

As previously reported, MF Doom recently suffered the loss of his 14-year-old son.
