Dishwasher

"Come Home”

BY Cam LindsayPublished Feb 20, 2007

On his cryptic MySpace page, this eccentric pink bunny lover leaves little to no hint as to who he is. But it turns out to be Martin Cesar from Montreal’s Think About Life. Much like TAL, Dishwasher uses barebones DIY production and a wide range of influences, from Francophone to hip-hop to messy bedroom pop. "Come Home” leads with a hooky fuzzed out riff, heavy breathing and bizarro Unicorns yelping. Without warning it then transforms into a good time plea to his baby that sounds like a Jagger chorus sung through a vacuum cleaner hose with some charming candour. (myspace.com/dishwasherisme)
