Dinosaur Jr., Faust, Fever Ray and Tons More All Confirmed for Pop Montreal 2009

The initial line-up for this year's Pop Montreal fest has been announced, and music fans should be more than a little excited. On deck to play this year's event, which goes down from September 30 to October 4, are such big-draw acts as Dinosaur Jr., the Butthole Surfers and Lou Barlow + the Missingmen, as well as (take a deep breath) Fever Ray, DJ / Rupture, Teenage Jesus & the Jerks, Destroyer, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Loudon Wainwright III, Thee Oh Sees, Mono, Os Mutantes and krautrock OG's Faust, among others.

Along with all the performers, the event will also feature workshops and talks, BBQs, bike rentals, a craft fair and more. Plus, keep your eyes peeled: there are hundreds of artists still to be announced.
