Dillinger Escape Plan Announce Tour, Hint At "Other Secret Happenings"

BY Cam LindsayPublished May 14, 2009

Although they're still working on that new album, as we recently told you, the dudes in tech metal behemoths Dillinger Escape Plan are planning a break in their album prep to get back on the road for some dates in North America and Europe this summer.

Beginning in Famingdale, NY on June 9, the band will head up to Ontario for a show in St. Catharines and then Toronto, with a day in between where the band have hinted on their MySpace blog that there could be a "secret basement show" on the 20th.

The band's Greg Puciato also spoke out about the tour saying that it isn't a real tour, just some shows to get "greased up for recording in July... When we're done we'll be out and we'll play everywhere, everywhere imaginable. We missed a lot of spots over the past couple of years, but after this album's done being recorded we are going EVERYWHERE. Hang tight for a few more months if you aren't on the show list right now. We appreciate all of you, we'll get there!!!!! I wish we could clone ourselves and play every city on the same day!"

Greg also added that there is "more news coming soon... before we leave for tour we'll get a ton of stuff up, new shirt, practice footage, as well as other behind-the-scenes footage, new top secret news about the album, other secret happenings in DEP-land, etc. I promise."
