Devours Signs to Artoffact Records for Sophomore Album 'Iconoclast'

As Devours slowly but surely gains more attention in his hometown of Vancouver, the punk-flirting DIY electro-pop project has signed with Toronto's Artoffact Records for a new album.

As the project of mastermind Jeff Cancade, Devours will follow-up his 2016 debut album Late Bloomer with a sophomore effort next year. While details are still slim, Iconoclast is set to arrive via Artoffact on March 8.

For the unfamiliar, a press release writes the following of Devours:

After experimenting with an electronic pop-rock sound that laid the foundations, Cancade found the Devours sound by mixing in disco, funk, and '80s videogame sounds with a political and nostalgic fury, making for easy-listening that gets less easy the more you listen. Imagine an angsty disco, full of queer energy but laden with existential drama.

While we stay tuned on more details about Iconoclast, you can revisit Late Bloomer below.
