The Del Fi's

'Crowd Pleaser' (album stream)

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Nov 11, 2015

Folksy Toronto singer-songwriter Jerry Leger is trying something different this fall. Following a steadily increasing output as a solo artist, he's teamed up with a bunch of friends to produce an album as the Del Fi's. Though debut effort Crowd Pleaser hits the masses November 13, you can sample their rock'n'roll party online now with a full album stream via Exclaim!

The album gets off to a raucous, if morbid, start with the boot-stompin' spook tune "Rockin' in the Funeral Home #1" and arrives in altered form at the end of the LP as well. Highlights slapped in between include the banjo-pluckin' folk rocker "Brigitte Bardot," the saloon ready C&W swing "Noisy Bars," and the hard-swung "(True Love) You Can't Kill It."

You can sample the gang's rootsy-but-rockin' debut down below, where you'll also find info on a pair of upcoming concert dates. You can pre-order the album here.
