Having explored the Fading Frontier back in 2015, Deerhunter have readied a new full-length follow-up. Titled Why Hasn't Everything Already Disappeared?, the 10-track effort will arrive January 18 though 4AD

Described as "a science fiction album about the present," Deerhunter are said to speak to their album's titular question by "reinventing their approach to microphones, the drum kit, the harpsichord, the electromechanical and synthetic sounds of keyboards."

A taste of what's to come from the disc arrives with "Death in Midsummer," which has arrived via a video you can check out below.

Deerhunter have also mapped out a run of tour dates in North America and Japan set to kick off early next year. Canadian dates on the trek include Toronto on February 21 and Montreal on February 22. You can see the complete schedule below the album's tracklist.
