Deerhoof Share Free Live Album

BY Alex HudsonPublished Sep 12, 2011

Just like the Dodos did last month, spazzy pop rockers Deerhoof are releasing a free live album before hitting the road south of the border. Entitled 99% Upset Feeling, it's available now.

The 11-song set includes songs from a number of previously released Deerhoof tracks, plus covers of the Ramones' "Pinhead," Phil Upchurch Combo's "You Can't Sit Down" and Canned Heat's "Goin' Up the Country."

The album was recorded during the recent Deerhoof vs. Evil tour. According to a press release, this is "is arguably the first honest attempt to document the drama and intensity of their live show into a well-recorded package."

You can stream individual songs or download the whole thing here. For a visual accompaniment to the album, go to Flikr to watch a photo slideshow.

Deerhoof will be hitting the road this week for a U.S. tour, but there are no Canadian dates. See the schedule over at the band's official website.
