In 2017, music-making director David Lynch will be rolling out a new season of his show Twin Peaks. Also that year, Lynch is going to be releasing a memoir, which he is co-writing with journalist Kristine McKenna.

The book is called Life & Work, and it's due out the year after next through Grand Central Publishing in North America and Canongate in the UK. Lynch apparently sees it as a chance to correct the misinformation that has circulated about him.

He said in a statement, "There's a lot of bullshit out there about me, in books and all over the Internet. I want to get all the right information in one place, so if someone wants to know something, they can find it here. And I wouldn't do it with anyone other than Kristine; she and I go way back, and she gets it right."

The New York Times notes that the tome will alternate between memoir-style sections by Lynch and biographical passages by McKenna. For these biographical sections, McKenna interviewed around 90 of Lynch's associates.
