David Bazan Brings Curse Your Branches on North American Tour, Visits Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver

BY Josiah HughesPublished Sep 2, 2009

Since disbanding his Pedro the Lion outfit earlier this decade, Northwestern indie rock songwriter David Bazan has pursued a slow-moving but promising solo career, opting for autobiographical songwriting and fuller arrangements. His live shows have also evolved, seeing the singer strip down his material for many an intimate acoustic performance, often in the form of house shows. Now, though, he'll be launching his first solo tour with a full band attached.

The whole thing kicks off in San Francisco on October 1, and will continue through the U.S. until Bazan pops up in Canada for shows in Montreal and Toronto. Then it's back to the U.S. for a bit until his third Canadian stop in Vancouver on November 5.

Bazan will be touring in support of Curse Your Branches, his recent solo debut released on Barsuk.
