Days after telling a spooky tale about recording Foo Fighters' new album, Dave Grohl has announced plans to recount "some of the more ridiculous moments" of his life on Instagram to pass the time in isolation.

Grohl has launched a new account dubbed Dave's True Stories (@davestruestories), which arrives complete with a profile photo of what looks to be his infamous broken leg.

"I'm currently looking for work, so I thought I'd pass the time by writing true short stories that will make people smile," Grohl wrote in a first post, adding that he's "also a total fucking spaz who can't sit around doing nothing" while isolating.

"My mother was a brilliant English teacher, my father a wicked speechwriter, so I decided to rebel by not paying attention to grammar and/or punctuation in school (that, and cranking death metal 24/7 from my bedroom stereo). So… have mercy. Not going for a Nobel Prize in literature here," he added.

"I look forward to sharing some of the more ridiculous moments of my life with you," Grohl concluded, before imploring readers to put the cellphone down and "Wash your fucking hands."

Considering the hours Grohl has logged in the industry, in addition to his laundry list of collaborators, the account has potential to offer up some wild stories for even wilder times. You can follow Dave's True Stories here, and can find his launch statement below.

Foo Fighters were recently forced to axe their upcoming North American van tour due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis
